MIDDLETOWN – From posing for pictures to talking to opposing players, James I. O’Neill two-way lineman George Fatsis enjoyed every part of Saturday’s Section 9 football media day.

The inaugural event was hosted by the Section 9 Football Coaches Association (SNFCA) at Middletown High School, adding to the excitement of the upcoming season. More than 25 schools from Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, and Dutchess counties attended media day.

“I really liked it, it was cool and I think it let some of the reporters and our opponents learn some more about this team,” Fatsis said. “We had a down season last year, but I think we have grown. This event also let us get a look at some of our opponents. It was a new perspective, and I am glad that they put together the media day.”
