MONTGOMERY – The Air Dot Show landed at the Orange County Airport this weekend for a two-day stop featuring nearly a century of military airpower, ranging from the iconic WW II P-51 Lightening to the current F-22 Raptor.
The forecast, with warm temperatures and clear skies, made it perfect viewing for the thousands expected to converge on the airstrip
Flying demonstrations Saturday included the MV-22 Osprey, A NORAD Intercept, the West Point Parachute Team, and the WW II B-25 J Mitchell, which Jimmy Doolittle used to shock the Japanese with his raid on Tokyo after Pearl Harbor. The C-47, which dropped troops on D-Day and helped with the Berlin Airlift, also entertained the crowd.
