Millions of Brits could see their monthly payments from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) rise to nearly £800. The Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is anticipated to increase in April, in accordance with the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation rate.

This would mean those receiving the highest awards of the daily living and mobility components of PIP could see their payments increase from £749.80 every four weeks to £778.20. As reported by the Daily Record , the DWP recently announced that plans to reform PIP have been postponed until a review into the current assessment process has been completed.

The review is expected to be concluded by next Autumn. However, the DWP also confirmed that the disability benefit will continue to increase annually in line with the September
