EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man is behind bars after police say he broke into the same smoke shop twice within a two-week span.

According to a release from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office , on Aug. 4 and Aug. 21, officers responded to the West Side Smoke Shop, which is located in the 5400 block of Pearl Drive on the west side of Evansville, on reports of burglaries.

During the two break-ins, employees noted the glass entry doors were smashed and multiple items, including vapes and vape cartridges, were stolen.

After detectives watched the surveillance footage, they determined the same suspect was responsible for both burglaries.

Police say the suspect, identified as a 22-year-old Evansville man, was wearing the same clothing during each break-in.
