TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 38-year-old Tresda M. Caddell, of Tuscaloosa, was killed when the vehicle that she was a passenger in left the roadway and struck an embankment before the vehicle overturned and struck a utility pole on U.S. 11 near Cedar Cove Loop Road.

ALEA says Caddell was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, according to authorities.

ALEA is continuing to investigate the crash.
