Kalamazoo — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders and Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed railed against ongoing violence and hunger in Gaza during a rally in Michigan Saturday, contending that American leaders were disregarding voters' feelings on the subject.
In front of a crowd of hundreds on the campus of Western Michigan University, Sanders, an independent from Vermont and a former candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, spoke in support of El-Sayed's Democratic campaign for the U.S. Senate in Michigan in 2026.
