HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — With Election Day just days away, Hoover’s mayoral candidates are making their final push to connect with voters.
Incumbent Mayor Frank Brocato is seeking a third term, while longtime Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis is looking to step into the city’s top role.
Both candidates say they’ve been going door-to-door in neighborhoods across the city, aiming to meet voters where they are.
Over the weekend, Brocato also spent time at local sporting events, greeting residents and talking about the city’s future.
“Let folks know that they’re very important and that you care for them, and events like this kind of define our community,” Brocato said.
