TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's State Bureau of Investigation has launched an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that involved officers with the Tallassee Police Department.
According to ALEA, officers with the Tallassee Police Department responded to a domestic violence call in the 2900 block of Notasulga Road in Tallassee at around 3:05 p.m. During the incident, an individual discharged a firearm, causing officers to shoot at the suspect. The suspect has been identified as Adam Davis, 38. Davis was taken to a hospital for treatment.
ALEA says that no officers were injured in the incident.
