HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Little League returned home Saturday night after a hard-fought stretch in the Little League World Series tournament.
Hawaii News Now will be at the airport for live coverage of their homecoming during our 10 o’clock newscast.
The team’s victory at the West Region Tournament on Aug. 7 earned them their third trip to Williamsport.
But the boys lost their first round matchup Aug. 15 against Connecticut, 5-1.
A 9-1 win over Illinois kept them alive in the elimination bracket before a 3-0 shutout by South Carolina on Aug. 19 ended their World Series run entirely.
Led by manager Gerald Oda, Honolulu Little League previously won world championships in 2018 and 2022.
