The 66-year-old truck dispatcher based in Vancouver, Canada, trained five days a week, pushing his limits with weights that would make most gym-goers wince. But, on May 21, during a routine leg day, things took a turn for the worst.
Fun began with a 10-minute bike warm-up, followed by four warm-up sets and four working sets on the leg press. He then moved to a plate-loaded reverse squat machine. It was on the final repetition of the last set that disaster struck.
"The only way I can describe how I felt when I got injured was pain, shock, and disappointment," Fun told News
