GREEN BAY - Before the Green Bay Packers even completed their 20-7 win against the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field, their preseason finale was a distant memory.
That’s the reality of the rapid pace the NFL undergoes with final cuts looming. General manager Brian Gutekunst will whittle his roster to 53 players by 3 p.m. Aug. 26. The coming changes were foremost on coach Matt LaFleur’s mind immediately after his team’s preseason finale.
“Now obviously a lot of decisions need to be made,” LaFleur said. “This is always a bittersweet time in terms of, you’ve got to say goodbye to a lot of guys who have busted their butt for months and months, and years.
