First, a little history about the Respect Diversity Foundation. The inspiration behind this nonprofit foundation came about because of two incidents in the 1950s. In 1957, a 6-year-old Oklahoma boy learned that his parents were Holocaust survivors. For 5½ years, his parents endured the worst of hatred, bigotry and antisemitism.
