Brandon Brendle did just about everything right to win his second Stadium Stock points championship this season.
He led the division in wins with six, but more importantly, in the nights he didn’t win he made sure to be consistent enough to earn points. That formula came together on Saturday night in the final race of the 77th season as he claimed the title in front of nearly 15,000 fans.
It was the largest crowd of the season and most stayed to watch the final race of the night.
“It’s about being consistent and not trying to do too much,” said Brendle, who also won the 2021 title. “And tonight, I just wanted to make sure I stayed with it, and if I did that, we could do this.”
