Nobody was injured after multiple reports of possible gunshots near downtown London on Friday afternoon, police say.

London police said they were seeking the public’s help after officers responded to a shooting in the area of Oxford Street East and Talbot Street late Friday afternoon, adding that at about 2:45 p.m. police received multiple reports of “possible gunshots” on Piccadilly Street.

When officers arrived in the area, they found evidence of “gunshot-related damage,” according to London police.

No injuries were reported as a result of the disturbance, police said, adding that the investigation had been reassigned to the London police guns and gangs section.
