BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- With the summer bringing a lull in hockey games and practices, some local rinks struggle to keep the lights on. Syracuse Crunch forward and Baldwinsville resident, Daniel Walcott, is looking to combat that with the help of the hockey community. With less than a weeks notice, Wally has created a fundraiser to support the Three Rivers Athletic Complex by bringing the community together to watch pros play youth hockey teams from Central New York. On Sunday, Crunch defenseman Roman Schmidt, Cicero’s Thomas Harley (Dallas Stars), Baldwinsville’s Luke Tuch (Montreal Canadiens), Jamesville’s Joel Farabee (Calgary Flames), Marcellus’ Eamon Powell (AHL Charlotte) will all take the ice to compete against local high school and youth teams to raise money.
