YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Runners will be lining up in downtown Youngstown Sunday for the 16th annual Panerathon.
This year, there's a record number of registrants for the event. On Thursday, around 5,800 people were signed up and more registrations are expected before the race.
Race director Carson Ryan says they're expecting to beat last year's registrations by 1,000.
There will be a 10K timed race and a two-mile walk/run through Mill Creek Park and downtown Youngstown. Kids can run the two-mile for free.
Race day registration opened at 8 a.m. The races will start at 10 a.m.
All proceeds from the event will help support the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
Over $5 million has been raised in the Panerathon's 16 years.
