According to the International Council of Air Shows, between 325 and 350 air shows take place each year in the U.S. and Canada. There’s an abundance of them in California, Florida and Texas, but not as many in the Midwest.
This year, only two of those are in Indiana and only three are in Illinois. For those in the Region, you don’t have to travel far to take in one of these exciting events. We were lucky enough to have two consecutive weekends of exciting air shows this month, first in Gary and then in Chicago.
