Police have been conducting enquiries at Willenhall Social Club in Coventry after a man was found seriously injured. He was attacked yesterday evening (August 23).

At around 7.20pm, a man was found with serious neck and head injuries on Robin Hood Road. It is believed the victim had been involved in a dispute with his attacker beforehand.

Medics treated the man for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Officers are working to identify the perpetrator and are carrying out enquiries in Willenhall today (August 24).

Willenhall Social Club on Robin Hood Road has since reopened. In a statement issued this morning, they said: “Club will be open from 12pm today.”
