Police have closed a busy road in the city following a reported multi-vehicle crash near a Tesco store this afternoon, Sunday, August 24. Emergency services are currently at the scene of a crash on Notte Street, near the city centre and Barbican.

A witness has told PlymouthLive a van, motorbike and cyclist were involved in the crash. They said: "There’s been a crash on Notte Street by Tesco. Traffic is being cleared by off duty officer".

Traffic maps show there are delays in the area in both directions. Traffic is being affected between the junction for Princess Way and along Vauxhall Street to Bretonside.

It is not known at this time if anyone has suffered any serious injuries. Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
