A serious collision on the M1 has sparked huge delays for drivers traveling on the bank holiday weekend.

The southbound carriageway between J13 (near Bedford) and J12 (Flitwick) is closed due to a multi vehicle collision.

60 minute delays following the collision

Drivers can expect to face 60 minute delays at the moment southbound between J14 and J13.

National Highways said the M1 southbound remains closed between J13 and J12 "for a collision investigation following a serious collision". 17:28 Elizabeta Ranxburgaj
