Hibernian Women midfielder Michaela McAlonie has joined Women’s Super League 2 side Southampton on a permanent transfer.
The terms of the 23-year-old’s transfer will remain undisclosed.
McAlonie joined Hibs Women in July 2021 and immediately became an influential member of the First Team squad at just 19 years of age. She went on to make 123 appearances for the Club, scoring 26 goals.
During her four years with Hibernian, the midfielder has been an integral part of the Club’s journey towards professionalism, both on and off the pitch.
She played a key role in Hibs historic Scottish Women’s Premier League title triumph last season, featuring in 31 of 32 league matches – including all 10 post-split fixtures during the memorable run-in.
