HODGEMAN COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A 13-year-old boy has died from injuries sustained during a crash in Hodgeman County earlier this week.

William Thompson, 13 of Hanston, died Friday from injuries he sustained in Wednesday afternoon's crash east of Jetmore. The Kansas Highway Patrol says that around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a Kenworth semi-truck traveling westbound on T Road, while a Dodge Dakota was traveling southbound on 231 Road. The driver of the semi failed to yield, colliding with the Dodge in the intersection. The Dodge then spun around after impact, and came to rest facing southbound, while the semi continued west, coming to a stop west of the crash.
