Xenia, Ohio (WXIX) -Three pets were found dead and two are unaccounted for following a large house fire that occurred in Xenia Saturday evening, according to firefighters with the City of Xenia Fire Division.

Firefighters say they were called to the 200 block of Colorado Drive for the report of a fire.

Once they arrived, they found one occupant who was treated and released at the scene.

“The home sustained extensive damage throughout,“ firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
