CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland beachgoers face contrasting conditions at two popular lakefront destinations, according to Sunday’s Beach Water Quality Program update.
According to the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Villa Angela Beach was flagged for poor water bacteria quality, with E. coli bacteria levels unacceptable for swimming.
Measurements showed a slightly cooler morning water temperature of 73.4 degrees.
Edgewater Beach received a favorable rating with good water bacteria quality levels and a morning water temperature of 74.1 degrees.
The daily assessments come from the Beach Water Quality Program, which uses Virtual Beach 3.0 modeling software to generate its predictions.
