TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — An incident in the 7200 block of Gadsden Highway near Deerfoot Parkway on Saturday night left one man dead and two others with serious injuries, according to Trussville Police Lt. Clint Riner.

“On Saturday, August 23 at approximately 9:05 p.m., a pedestrian was hit by a motorcycle in the 7200 block of Gadsden Highway,” Riner said. “This collision resulted in the death of a pedestrian and serious injuries to the two riders of the motorcycle.”

Riner said a male was driving the motorcycle and the passenger was a female.

All involved were transported to area hospitals by Trussville Fire and rescue.

“Witnesses report that the pedestrian stopped his vehicle exited and walked into the roadway when he was struck,” Riner said.
