AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - A special member of the police department was all smiles and tail-wags for Airway Heights Day on Saturday.

K-9 Tonks visited with the public at Sunset Park for Airway Heights Day, an annual end-of-summer celebration for the entire community.

According to the Airway Heights Police Department, Tonks is specially trained to assist with individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral crises.

" If you are out and about at community events, watch for K9 Tonks! She's a friendly pup who absolutely loves getting attention," Airway Heights PD wrote on social media.
