CUMMING -- West Forsyth’s Andrew Davis was the difference Friday night in a 31-17 victory over Marietta.

The senior ran 22 times for 242 yards and three touchdowns while adding an interception on defense. He also tallied a team high four receptions for 69 yards in the passing game.

“That's a pretty good day for Andrew,” West Forsyth coach Dave Svehla after the win. “He is a heck of a football player, and we ask so much of him. We ask him to play an awful lot on both sides of the ball, and it's hard to be out there for that many plays.

But he's a trooper, and he wants it.

“He's a senior willing to do anything he can to help our team win.”

Thanks in large part to Davis, the Wolverines are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2017.
