MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Burglars broke into an East Memphis shop and stole $6,000 worth of smoke and vape products along with $300 in cash, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.

Officers responded to the burglary at a Vapor Wize store on Poplar Avenue just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, a dark Nissan Sentra or Altima was backed into the store entrance causing extensive damage.

Two people went inside and stole the products and cash, MPD said.

Police said they left the scene heading south on Mendenhall Road from Poplar Avenue.
