MEMPHIS, Tenn. - An officer and three women were injured after a crash on Saturday evening in Binghampton, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.

Officers responded to a crash involving a squad car at Mimosa Avenue and Scott Street at 6:39 p.m.

MPD said the squad car was driving southbound on Scott Street when it tried to turn right onto Mimosa Avenue and crashed into another car driving northbound on Scott Street.

According to MPD, a woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but she was later upgraded to non-critical condition. Two other women and an officer were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Both drivers were issued citations, police said.
