With an immediate threat to life, a lawful evacuation order has been issued for California's scenic Napa County area as fast-spreading wildfires blaze across the region. While the cause of the fire is not yet known, the Pickett fire, which first sparked at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, has burned nearly 6,500 acres, with only 11% of the wildfire contained as of late Saturday night.

The picturesque Napa Valley, world-famous for its extensive vineyards, high-quality wine tastings, stunning landscapes, and proximity to celebrated state and national parks, is projected to become almost uninhabitable by 2050 due to high emissions.
