SHELBURN, Ind. — One person was killed Sunday morning in southwestern Indiana following a two-vehicle crash.

According to a release from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office , around 10:40 a.m. on Aug. 24, deputies were called to the 1000 block of West County Road 650 North in Shelburn following a report of a crash involving two vehicles.

When officers arrived, they found the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped inside. Medics later pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Police say the driver of the second vehicle was taken to Sullivan County Hospital for a blood draw, per state law. However, police say they do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
