KINDER, La. (KPLC) - State police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash Saturday night that claimed the life of a Kinder man.

Louisiana State Police Troop D were called to the scene of the crash around 8 p.m. on Carpenters Bridge Road west of Simmons Road in Allen Parish.

Michael Dupin, 75, received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an LSP report.

Investigators say Dupin was riding a 2016 Harley-Davison motorcycle headed west on a curve in Carpenters Bridge Road when for unknown reasons, the motorcycle went off the road and struck an embankment.

A standard toxicology sample was collected from Dupin and submitted for analysis.

The crash remains under investigation.
