Train services have been affected this afternoon due to a train crew being 'unavailable'.

Train operator, Northern, announced that a number of services between Manchester Victoria and Blackburn have been cancelled, with buses to run instead.

The services will be cancelled from 5.56pm today, Sunday, August 24, until the end of the day, the operator said.

Sharing a post online, Northern said: "Due to train crew being unavailable between Manchester Victoria and Blackburn, train services running through these stations will be cancelled from 17:56 until the end of the day, buses will run instead at the times below:
