CLEVELAND —Want to work in the booming Ohio cannabis market? There are jobs a plenty.

But Rico Mercado, an assistant general manager for Klutch Cannabis, said potential employees in the industry do need a wealth of knowledge in order to be successful.

Green Flower is a training and education program for cannabis. Max Simon, the company’s CEO, explained that they partner with schools like Kent State University to offer cannabis classes.

“For people that want to be a part of this industry it really is important for them to get an education and get a certificate that helps them to learn the industry and stand out so that they can get hired,” he said.

Simon explained some of the sectors people can work in in the cannabis industry are cultivation, product development and retail operations.
