Did you ever wonder which New Jersey tomato variety tastes the best? Here’s your chance to find out.

Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and Rutgers Cooperative Extension are inviting visitors this month to The Great Tomato Tasting event in Hunterdon County to taste over 50 varieties of tomatoes.

The annual tomato tasting will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27 at the Rutgers Clifford E. & Melda C. Snyder Research and Extension Farm at 140 Locust Grove Road in Pittstown.

“A $10 entry fee is required for all attendees ages 13 and older. Payment must be made by credit card at the time of registration. Walk-ins will not be permitted,” according to the event website .
