ENFIELD, N.C. (WITN) - A man is facing multiple charges after Enfield police say he shot a victim involved in a domestic disturbance.
According to the Enfield Police Department, an officer went to a domestic disturbance at 316 Whitaker Street around 1:50 a.m. After the people involved separated, officials say Rico Jones allegedly returned with an accomplice and shot the victim.
After an investigation, officers arrested Jones for multiple charges, including Felony Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony discharging a weapon into occupied property, and discharging a firearm into city limits.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are set to come.
