CONCORD, N.C. ( WBTV /Gray News) - A TikTok star was killed after he crashed nearly 20 feet off a road in North Carolina, according to authorities.

Concord Police said 28-year-old Malik Taylor was the victim of a crash on Aug 20 at an apartment complex across from Concord Mills mall.

Police said Taylor was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue and crashed about 20 feet down off the roadway. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no foul play was suspected, police said.

Officers did say, though, that alcohol was a factor.

Based on a TikTok video posted only hours before his death, the 28-year-old had just recently moved to the Charlotte area.

He previously lived in Memphis, according to his social media accounts.
