MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Thousands flocked to American Family Field Sunday, Aug. 23, to honor Mr. Baseball himself, Bob Uecker.
"I listened to him growing up, swimming in the backyard," said Brewers fan Kim Ciamciola. "The radio was always on. It was always Bob Uecker."
Bob Uecker was a cherished part of the franchise, connecting with fans through his humor and wisdom.
But most Brewers fans agree - no one else sounded quite like Mr. Baseball.
"Watching my dad work in the garden, having the radio propped up in the apple tree, me throwing the baseball to the pitch net. Every weekend," Brewers fan Brian Bashynski said. “Always having that voice in the background. It’s just weird not having him there anymore.”
