Victoria rolled out the red carpet Saturday for a star-studded fundraiser that raised more than $3 million to support young organ transplant recipients and their families.
The first-ever Heart of Gold Gala & Concert, hosted by The Simon Keith Foundation at the Victoria Conference Centre, brought together 450 guests for an evening of music, storytelling and philanthropy.
Performances included international vocalists Vonzell Solomon, Matt Mauser and Pia Toscano, alongside Scottish Pipers and London Essentials.
Hockey Night in Canada’s Ron MacLean and Victoria’s Jason Pires of Global BC co-hosted the event, while local and international transplant recipients shared their personal journeys.
