CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Carterville faced another water issue just hours after lifting a previous boil water order.
The city reported a water outage on Sunday afternoon due to a line failure near the existing tower.
City officials said there will be an interruption to water services while repairs are made.
After the repairs, a boil water order will be issued, officials said.
Yesterday, crews replaced a faulty water main, which prompted a boil water order.
The Carterville Water Department switched from the old main to the new main, which caused the interruption of water services to customers.
