MADISON, (WKOW) —Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the Goodman Pool before the conclusion of the 2025 season.

The pool closed after Sunday, August 24, weather permitting. This planned closure was based on staffing availability, as most lifeguards were students returning to school. Safety was prioritized, and without adequate staffing, the pool could not remain open beyond this date.

The Youth Attendance Waiver allowed visitors aged 11 to 15 to attend Goodman Pool without a parent or guardian present, once completed by a parent or legal guardian and verified in person by pool staff. Although only a few days remained in the season, this time was used as a soft launch, and the process was refined in preparation for the 2026 season.
