A New Jersey man has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 35-year-old jogger in Gloucester County on Sunday, police said.

Mckeon C. Mckeon-Fish, of Newfield, was jogging southbound on the 300 block of Madison Avenue in Newfield when he was struck from behind by a vehicle at 8:30 a.m., according to Franklin Township police, which patrols the small borough.

Mckeon-Fish was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Emmanual Anakwah, 36, of Newfield, briefly stopped at the scene before fleeing, police said.

He then called the police at about 8:28 a.m. to report that he had been involved in a crash on Madison Avenue, police said.
