DALLAS — On Jan. 7, 2022, Janis Aldridge’s daughter delivered a stillborn son, Kass Simmons. He weighed just three pounds. Aldridge said she remembers holding him that day and speaking softly to him before her daughter left the hospital.

While her daughter recovered, Aldridge began arranging his funeral services through Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory, a Dallas business she says she had known and trusted.

“I’ve known their business for years,” Aldridge said.

Golden Gate CEO John Beckwith told WFAA the funeral home has been around for 45 years and handles more than 2,000 families annually.

"Our family was born and raised in this community, and we serve our family, friends, colleagues, classmates, and church members with dignity and respect," Beckwith said.
