TONTO BASIN, Ariz. — Authorities are seeking information on a hit-and-run crash in the Tonto National Forest that left a pedestrian dead.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said an unknown vehicle, possibly a gray or silver SUV, sideswiped a parked vehicle and then hit a pedestrian in the Lower Sycamore Creek OHV Recreational Area before leaving the scene on Sunday around 3:30 a.m.

The sheriff's office said the vehicle should have damage to the front end, the right side and possibly the front bumper, grill, undercarriage and hood.
