ESTACADA Ore. (KPTV) - As schools across the Portland metro brace for a hot first week of school, the Estacada School District, which starts Monday, is already planning to send all of its students home early.

Not all of the district’s classrooms have air conditioning. That means Estacada High School will get out at 1:45 p.m., Estacada Middle School will dismiss at 12:31 p.m., classes end at River Mill Elementary at 12:35 p.m., and at Clackamas River School at 12:25 p.m.

That’s where incoming fourth-grader Azelia will be.

“I’m actually excited about that. It’s going to be hot, then I get to swim in my pool,” Azelia said. “We like it, it was so fun, you get to go in the pool.”
