Students are headed back to school in Worcester, Massachusetts, where the district has welcomed a new superintendent.

Allen is a Worcester native and a graduate of South High Community School.
In a message to families, he said his first priority is to visit all 46 schools by the end of September.
The superintendent said the focus of this school year is to make meaningful improvements to student learning.
Students and families may also notice some improvements, which include 20 new electric buses that roll out next month, new windows at Worcester East and an expanded parking lot at R
