GOSHEN – A Middletown man will spend the next six years in state prison on his previous guilty plea to drug sales. The conviction is Raymond Burnett’s seventh felony and 35 th total criminal conviction.

It was alleged that Middletown City Police initiated an investigation into drug trafficking and in November 2024, Burnett, 48, sold fentanyl to an undercover officer. The following month, police executed a search warrant in his residence where they recovered crack cocaine packaged for sale.

“Fentanyl continues to be a real and resent danger in our community,” said District Attorney David Hoovler. “We must deploy all necessary resources to combat the spread of these persons in our backyards.”
