WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Williston Fire Department crews were called out to deal with smoke at the emergency room on Sunday afternoon.
Officials say they were called in to CHI St. Alexius around 4:40 p.m. Staff told first responders they smelled electrical smoke following a loud popping noise.
Assistant Chief Corey Johnson says there was a malfunction with the HVAC system in the ER.
The smoke cleared around 6 p.m.
Officials at CHI say the ER is still open, with some operations being located over at a different wing.
