Ryanair flight returns to UK after passenger 'attempts to open emergency exit' mid-air
A Ryanair flight was forced to ground at Manchester Airport after a passenger allegedly attempted to 'open an emergency exit' mid-flight, according to an eyewitness on board.
Other passengers intervened and alerted the cabin crew, who then involved the flight's captain, the witness added.
The individual was moved away from the emergency exit seat, with the captain having to stay by the exit.
The aircraft was landed and the woman in question was 'escorted off the plane by Greater Manchester Police', as per the fellow traveller.
Engineers were subsequently called in to assess the damage and replace parts, the witness stated, reports the Manchester Evening News .
