AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 20-year-old man has been arrested after he was accused of rape, according to authorities.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says Cameron Wakei Roberson was arrested on Sunday.

According to the incident report, deputies responded to Alene Circle in reference to a sexual assault.

Man’s body recovered after boating incident in Washington County

Washington County emergency crews recovered a body after a boating incident on Sunday, according to officials.

The report states deputies spoke with the victim’s mom, who told deputies her daughter spent the night at a neighbor’s house.

The mom stated she heard noise in her front yard around 8 a.m. Sunday. When she went outside, she found the victim crying.
